About $8,000.00 has been spent on this truck to modify and make this a LOADING DOCK HEIGHT TRUCK. The only Loading Dock High 16' Box truck that I know of... Advantage?? You don't need to pay FEW $1000 yearly on commercial insurance like the 26' box truck... You pay for just like a E350 VAN... Description.Listing is for 1999 Ford E350 Suber duty, NEW INSPECTION, good til Dec 2019, Dually box truck in great mechanical condition, with only 131400 miles. 16' foot long box + 2' overhang. Truck, 5.4L, V8. Second Owner. Owned it since November 2006 (since 48,300 miles), regularly maintained. Original standard box has been replaced with HIGH CUBE box ($4000+$2000 for installation) and 8" beams were added between box and the frame and floor was lifted so it sits flush with standard loading dock. Cargo box can accommodate 8 standard pallets. Two suspensions on each side ($2000) has been added (after changing the box) to prevent swaying and swinging. About $1600 was spent on custom welding to add two hitches. I have pulled forklifts many times with this truck (see video). Has 6 new tires that have less than 2000 miles on them. Have two spare tire. Have many E tracks have been added in the box for tie down (see pictures). Inspection done couple of weeks ago and good till December 2019. READY TO GO TO WORK. We purchased the van directly from the district, along with a fleet of other vans, not from a dealer or broker, simply turning this one into cash, van was sold with an entire fleet and not sold because of any problems or issues, sat idle for about 2 years not being used after it was replaced with a new one. The unit cranks under its own power and was driven the 150 miles back to our location without any problems, the engine is low on actual power and we hear what sounds to be an internal knock when you rev it up although it does not slobber oil, run hot or anything like that, transmission is a little slow going into higher gears but we do believe that is only because engine is weak on power, it does not slip and as stated drove 150 miles just a couple weeks ago with no problem.
